Beware of scams: how to identify fake charges

Shortstay only charges through the app and the official unique link, which always begins with pay.reservacasa.com. Learn how to recognize fake charges.

Scammers may try to pose as Shortstay to send fake charges. Knowing how to identify the official channels protects your money.

Shortstay ONLY charges through these channels

  • Invoice in the Shortstay app

  • Official unique link, sent together with the invoice via WhatsApp and email

Check the address of the link 🔍

The official payment link always starts with:

> pay.reservacasa.com/...

error icon
Before paying, check the beginning of the address. Any different link — even if it looks similar, such as "pay-reservacasa", "reservacasa.pay" or other variations — is not from Shortstay.

Always be suspicious when

  • The link does not start with pay.reservacasa.com

  • They request payment by direct transfer to an individual account

  • They send a QR Code or payment slip through channels different from the official ones

  • They pressure you with unusual urgency ("pay now or you will lose the property")

  • The amount is different from your invoice in the app

When in doubt, follow the golden rule

Open the app and check the invoice. If the charge is not there, do not pay — and notify Support immediately.

Shortstay never requests payment outside the app or the official unique link.
