What happens if I pay after the due date?

Late payments incur a 10% penalty, 1% interest per month, and may result in restrictions and legal action.

Shortstay adopts a zero-tolerance policy for late payments. Charges are applied from the first day after the due date.

💰 Fines and interest

  • Fine: 10% of the invoice amount.

  • Interest: 1% per month.

We do not waive, discount, or remove late payment charges.

🚫 Booking restrictions

Any late payment will result in:

  • Inability to request booking extensions.

  • Refusal of future bookings on the Shortstay platform.

⚖ Consequences of default

  • After 10 days overdue: the debt will be referred to Serasa for the procedures to register the default, subject to the required legal notices.

  • After 30 days overdue: the appropriate legal measures will be initiated, including collection, contract termination, and eviction proceedings, in accordance with applicable law.

Legal proceedings may include court costs and attorney's fees, when legally due.
