Shortstay does a detailed check-in inspection by testing all the equipment in the property before every stay starts.
Any issues or differences can be reported and fixed within the first 48h through the email suporte@shortstay.com.br or by chat.
If you have an electronic lock, we strongly recommend:
Watch out for low battery signals: When the battery of the electronic lock is running low, it will give you some messages or signs warning about low battery. Don’t wait until the end—buy new batteries as soon as you see the first sign. If you prefer, you can open a maintenance request through the Shortstay app for this service, but a fee for a technician visit and materials may apply.
Physical key: At the start of your stay, you'll also get a physical key along with your starter kit. Keep it handy—it’s super important in case the electronic lock runs out of power.
If the battery is totally dead and you don't have the physical key, try charging it with a phone charger first (works for some lock models).
If your building has a doorman or manager, they'll definitely be able to help.
During business hours, open a maintenance request through the Shortstay app asking for help. This is subject to a technical visit fee and additional material costs.
Outside business hours, call a 24-hour locksmith.
